A public opinion poll shows Shiga is highly liked

According to a public opinion poll conducted by Shiga Prefectural Government, it turned out that 77.8% of Shiga's citizens want to continue to live in Shiga, which is the highest rate ever recorded. In addition to that, 76.3% of the people are interested in public policies implemented by Prefectural Government. "We think people have become more aware of Shiga," an official says.

The poll started in 1968, and it's the 41th survey this year. 3,000 citizens over 20 years old were selected at random, and they were asked 38 questions. 1,785 citizens, 59.5% of the total, responded to the poll.
