New flu: 390 consultations were made during Golden Week

On May 7th, the Shiga Prefectural Government reported that 390 consultations regarding new flu (swine flu) were made during the golden week holidays (from April 29th to May 6th). According to the SPG, the number of citizens who consulted with the Fever Consultaion Center was 356, which resulted in 390 consultations.

The details of the consultations were mainly as follows: 223 were about symptoms such as fever and coughs, 56 were about the medical care system, and 44 were about precautions.

The national quarantine stations informed the SPG that 270 citizens who came back from Mexico, U.S., and Canada on April 28th are staying in Shiga. The SPG has been monitoring 192 citizens who could be contacted since then. No confirmed case has been reported so far.
