Supplementary budget proposal to the Prefectural Assembly unveiled

On April 28, the Shiga Prefectural Government unveiled its supplementary budget proposal sent to the Prefectural Assembly where extraordinary sessions are going to be held from May 10. The 2.354-billion-yen budget proposal will be spent on supporting small businesses and the disaster-hit area deeply impacted by the earthquake.

The proposal features the 198-million-yen spent to furnish funds for corporations that invest in Shiga, the 5-million-yen used to purchase radiation detectors to issue radiation-free certificates, and the 9-million-yen spent on special packages to regain tourists. Additionally, 45 million yen will be spent on purchasing a new radiological survey vehicle and 20 portable radiation detectors.
